Giuntoli: "Vlahovic's Renewal? We've Decided to Discuss It After the Winter Transfer Window"

After Saturday’s boos, how important is this match?

"Matches are always very important. We are Juventus, and we won the Coppa Italia last season, so we are especially eager to perform well."

The atmosphere has quickly been rebuilt. Did you see the banner displayed by the fans? How significant is this during such an inconsistent period?

"Yes, I keep saying the same thing: we’ve done a lot of work, but we’ve had very few substitutes available. Unfortunately, due to numerous injuries, we’ve been significantly penalized. The team has had its ups and downs. Obviously, as fans, when we don’t win, we are the first to feel regret. But we must move forward together, united. Thinking about the future will bring us great satisfaction."

Are you discussing Dusan Vlahović’s renewal? How do you feel about it?

"I have a great relationship with this young man and his agent. We’ve decided to meet after the transfer window closes because his contract still has a year remaining. There’s plenty of time to address this matter and move forward in the best possible way together."

Jorge Mendes’ appearance in Turin has drawn attention. Did you meet him? There are rumors about António Silva. I know you like him. Have negotiations begun?

"To be honest, I greeted him, but we didn’t discuss transfers. It’s still too early. In the January transfer window, all teams are holding their cards closer to their chest, especially since we’re in the middle of the league season. We’ll only have a clearer picture of the January market at the beginning of January, not now."

"We’ll start with one."

When will we see the Juventus team that Giuntoli envisions?

"We are starting from scratch. This is a project with many new players and a new coach, with a completely different football philosophy. We know this will take time. Clearly, the injuries have slowed down the growth, which was already showing promising signs and was initially very impressive.

The team has shown signs of consistency, playing beautiful football with minimal problems. However, the lack of proper squad rotation, combined with the dense match schedule, has presented challenges for us. For now, we must stay united and calm, keep working hard, and wait for the transfer window. We need to make one or two significant adjustments. Milik also needs to return. At this moment, unity and a positive mindset are essential. At the end of the season, we will draw our conclusions."
