Steve Cooper Sacked by Leicester City After Disappointing Spell
Leicester City has officially parted ways with manager Steve Cooper after a challenging tenure that lasted just 15 games. The club confirmed his departure following a string of disappointing results, leaving Leicester in 16th place in the Premier League standings. Cooper's time at the King Power Stadium began in the summer, but it has ended after a series of underwhelming performances, including a recent 2-1 defeat to Chelsea—managed by his predecessor, Enzo Maresca.

During Cooper's time in charge, Leicester struggled to find consistent form, failing to secure a win in their first six league matches. While they did manage to achieve victories against Bournemouth and Southampton, this brief respite was overshadowed by three losses in the last four games, ultimately leading to his dismissal. The team's last match, which included a stoppage-time penalty from Jordan Ayew, highlighted their struggles, as they were unable to convert a late opportunity into a positive result.

In the wake of Cooper's exit, assistant manager Alan Tate and first-team coach Steve Rands have also left the club. Leicester City announced that Ben Dawson, along with coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, will take over training duties as the search for a new manager begins. Cooper's sacking marks him as the second Premier League manager to lose his job this season, following Erik ten Hag’s departure from Manchester United last month. Leicester is set to face Brentford in their next match as they look to turn their fortunes around.
