Chelsea Eye Dortmund Star Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Transfer Fee Could Reach €70 Million
According to British outlet CaughtOffside, Chelsea are showing strong interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and are considering a summer move for the talented youngster. At just 20 years old, Bynoe-Gittens is already regarded as one of the most promising wide players in European football, having impressed with his performances in both the Bundesliga and Champions League.
The report states that the English forward’s current market value is estimated at around €60 million. While Dortmund initially hoped to secure a fee closer to €100 million, negotiations could bring the final price down to between €60 million and €70 million. Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer Bynoe-Gittens a lucrative long-term deal running until 2030, with a salary that would double his current earnings at Dortmund.
Interest in Bynoe-Gittens extends beyond Stamford Bridge. Bayern Munich are said to be seriously considering a formal bid, while Liverpool view the youngster as a potential replacement for Luis Díaz, whose future at Anfield remains uncertain. Manchester City are also closely monitoring the situation, and Tottenham Hotspur—who have been tracking the player since last summer—are keen to sign him as a replacement for Timo Werner, and possibly Richarlison, amid rumors of a summer exit.
Bynoe-Gittens has made 46 appearances across all competitions this season, contributing 12 goals and 4 assists. Although his current contract runs until June 2028, growing interest from top clubs may force Dortmund to evaluate their stance. According to Transfermarkt, his current valuation stands at €50 million.
