Bayern Munich Set to Make Record €250m Move for Florian Wirtz

Bayern Munich is reportedly preparing a record-breaking €250 million deal to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. The 21-year-old winger, a highly sought-after Germany international, is set to become the most expensive signing in Bayern's history, surpassing the €100 million transfer of Harry Kane. Former Bayern executives UliHoeness and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge are personally involved in the pursuit, having held multiple discussions with Wirtz’s father and agent.
The deal would see Bayern pay Bayer Leverkusen €125 million for Wirtz, without including bonuses, to pair him with Jamal Musiala in the Bayern attack. Both players are among the top contributors in terms of goals and assists in Europe’s top leagues this season, which adds to the appeal of the partnership. Wirtz is expected to sign a five-year contract, running until 2030, and it’s believed that a verbal agreement between the player and Bayern has already been made.
To fund this major acquisition, Bayern Munich may look to offload several players, including Kim Min-jae, Sacha Boey, and Leon Goretzka, among others. The club aims to strengthen its squad in preparation for next season's challenges, including competing for top trophies like the UEFA Champions League. By reshuffling its roster, Bayern hopes to solidify its position at the top of European football after falling short in recent seasons.
