Everton weigh up £30 million summer move for Richarlison

Everton will reportedly look to sign 27-year-old Brazilian international Richarlison from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £30 million in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Give Me Sport, Richarlison is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are scouring the market for a wide attacker heading into the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Tottenham Hotspur flop. They are mulling over coughing up £30 million to sign the Brazilian international.
Richarlison and his Tottenham troubles
Richarlison has seen his progress come to a grinding halt since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Everton in a deal worth around £60 million in July 2022. The South American attacker was among the best players in the Premier League three years ago but has hardly made his mark at the North London club.
The 27-year-old has shown flashes of brilliance in the last three years, but those have come few and far between. The player’s game time has reduced with each passing season, and he has not featured much in the 2024/25 campaign. The versatile attacker has managed only 562 minutes of action across 16 appearances in all competitions while chipping in with four goals and one assist.
However, despite his struggles, the Tottenham flop has no shortage of suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window. Recent reports have suggested that the 48-cap Brazilian international might choose between a return to Brazil and the Saudi Pro League. However, Everton will look to beat the competition to his signature in the summer transfer window.
Move across the Premier League on the cards?
Everton’s interest in Richarlison makes sense. The Toffees are combing the market for a versatile attacker heading into the summer transfer window. Dominic Calvert-Lewin will likely depart from Goodison Park as a free agent instead of moving to Bramley-Moore Dock with his Everton teammates.
In addition, Everton will unlikely seal a permanent move for Jack Harrison in the summer transfer window. So, the Tottenham Hotspur flop has emerged as a viable target for the Merseyside club due to his versatility. The Toffees are ready to fork out £30 million to secure his services in the summer transfer window.
It is unclear if Tottenham will accept a bid worth £30 million from Everton to part ways with the 27-year-old Brazilian international in the summer transfer window. However, they will unlikely stand in his way after the 2024/25 season ends.
