Rizky Ridho Sets Remarkable Record in Liga 1: 1000 Successful Passes!
Indonesia national team defender Rizky Ridho continues to grow in his career, becoming an essential player for both the national team and his club, Persija Jakarta. The 23-year-old defender has achieved a significant milestone in the 2024-25 Liga 1 season.
By the 20th matchweek, Ridho had completed a total of 1,044 successful passes, averaging an impressive 55.3 passes per match. This achievement makes him the first local player to record 1,000 successful passes in the 2024/2025 Liga 1 season.
Ridho's passing accuracy stands out in comparison to other local players in the league, with Borneo FC's Fajar Fathurahman trailing behind with 939 successful passes, and Al Hamra Hehanussa ranking third with 739.
Guntur Cahyo Utomo, the Performance Development Manager of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), praised Ridho's style of play, calling it effective. He highlighted the defender's ability to build attacks from the back and noted that Ridho's long passes often prove to be very effective.
"Ridho is a type of defender who not only excels in defense but also contributes to the build-up play very effectively. It's no surprise that he has such a high passing success rate," Guntur explained.
In addition to his impressive passing record, Ridho has also accumulated 33 tackles, 65 interceptions, and 55 clearances in 20 appearances during the current Liga 1 season, further underscoring his all-around contributions on the field. Guntur also commended Ridho for his composure in one-on-one situations, noting that his excellent decision-making often forces opponents to struggle in attacking positions.
"Another standout feature of Ridho's game is his calmness in one-on-one situations. His decision-making forces opponents to struggle in directing the ball into dangerous areas, a skill that's quite rare among Indonesian defenders," Guntur added.
