Indonesia U-20 National Team Ends Challenge Series 2025 with a Win and Four Goals
The Indonesia U-20 national team concluded their participation in the 2025 Challenge Series with a dominant 4-0 victory over India. The match, held at Gelora Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo on Thursday, January 30, 2025, saw four goals scored by the Indonesian side.

Toni Firmansyah opened the scoring in the 4th minute, followed by Muhammad Ragil's brace in the 46th and 60th minutes, and M. Iqbal Gwijangge sealed the win with a goal in the 78th minute. This marked a significant victory for Indra Sjafri's team after a series of tough results in the competition.

Before this win, the Indonesia U-20 team had suffered defeats, losing 1-0 to Jordan and 2-0 to Syria in their earlier matches. The Challenge Series 2025 served as preparation for the upcoming 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup, which will take place in China from February 12 to March 1, 2025. In that tournament, Indonesia will be in a group alongside Uzbekistan, Iran, and Yemen.

The Challenge Series also functioned as a simulation for Indonesia's group stage in the AFC U-20 Asian Cup, with the same number of teams and match schedule. Throughout the Challenge Series, Indonesia U-20 recorded one win and two losses. Their first match saw them fall to Jordan 1-0, with Ibrahim Sabra scoring early in the 4th minute. In their second match, they lost 2-0 to Syria. However, they bounced back in their third match, securing a 4-0 win over India.

Syria emerged as the top team in the Challenge Series, winning all their matches against India (6-1), Indonesia (2-0), and Jordan (2-1). Jordan finished with two wins and one loss, while India ended the series with three defeats, losing to Syria (1-6), Jordan (0-5), and Indonesia (0-4).
