Shin Tae-yong, the former head coach of the Indonesian national football team, was deeply moved by the emotional farewell he received from hundreds of fans as he left Indonesia. After being dismissed by the PSSI, the 54-year-old coach and his assistants made their way back to South Korea, flying with Korean Air from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 9:50 PM WIB. His departure was marked by a heartfelt send-off from supporters, including those from La Grande Indonesia, Ultras, and other fan groups.

The scene at the airport was lively, with many fans holding banners and chanting special thank-you messages for Shin Tae-yong. Upon arrival at Terminal 3, he was welcomed warmly by the supporters before taking time to speak with the media.

Shin Tae-yong, accompanied by his wife and assistants, expressed his gratitude for the emotional send-off. He shared that he was deeply touched by the fans' gesture and thanked them for the warm farewell. Additionally, he took the opportunity to thank PSSI and its chairman, Erick Thohir, for their continuous support during his time with the national team.
