Persija Jakarta Signs Brazilian Defender Pablo Andrade
Persija Jakarta has officially added Brazilian defender Pablo Andrade to their squad for the second half of the 2024/25 Liga 1 season. The 30-year-old has signed a six-month contract, with the option for an extension.

Andrade is expected to fill the left-back position, strengthening the depth in that area, which has previously been occupied by Firza Andika and Dony Tri Pamungkas. The club has stated that his arrival will foster healthy competition among the players for the left-back role.
Persija also highlighted Pablo's determination to quickly integrate into the team and make a significant contribution. His ambition is clear, and the club is confident he will adapt well to his new environment.
Pablo himself mentioned that the transfer process was completed very quickly, as he learned about the offer in the morning and had everything finalized by the evening. He expressed that when both sides are interested, there's no reason to hesitate.
Before moving to Jakarta, Pablo had been playing in Finland with FC Lahti during the 2023/24 season, where he appeared in 19 matches, starting 18 of them, and scored three goals—an impressive tally for a left-back. His previous stints in Finland also included a season with SJK Seinajoki in 2022/23.
Pablo has a diverse international career, having played in Spain for clubs such as Racing Santander, Rayo Majadahonda, and Recreativo Huelva, among others. In his native Brazil, he had spells with Botafogo and Bangu, as well as with Flamengo's U-20 team.
