Vinicius Jr. Crowned 2024 FIFA Men's Player of the Year

The 2024 FIFA Best Awards were presented in Doha, Qatar, with Vinícius Jr. being named the FIFA Men's Player of the Year. Vinícius Jr. becomes the first Brazilian to win the FIFA Player of the Year award since 2007. Earlier this year, he finished second in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings. During the 2023-24 season, Vinícius played a pivotal role in helping Real Madrid secure the UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles.

He scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in 39 matches. Vinícius now joins the ranks of legendary Brazilian players such as Romário, Ronaldo (a three-time winner), Rivaldo, Ronaldinho (a two-time winner), and Kaká as the latest Brazilian to receive this honor since FIFA established the award in 1991.
