Juventus Signs Francisco Conceicao Permanently in €32M Deal Paid in Installments
Juventus has officially secured the permanent transfer of Francisco Conceicao from FC Porto in a deal worth €32 million, structured in four equal installment payments. The Italian club opted to negotiate directly with Porto rather than triggering the €30 million release clause, which was set to increase to €45 million at midnight. This approach allowed Juventus to finalize the transfer under more favorable financial terms while avoiding a sharp cost escalation.
The agreement followed intense negotiations between both clubs, with Porto agreeing to the structured payment despite the final amount exceeding the original clause. The move reflects both clubs’ desire to complete the deal promptly and efficiently. Conceicao’s standout performances during his loan spell in the 2024-25 season, where he played 40 matches, scored seven goals, and provided six assists, played a key role in Juventus’s decision to retain him long-term.
As part of the transfer, Conceicao was contractually entitled to receive 20 percent of the deal’s value—roughly €6 million—as a personal commission. However, he chose to accept only €3 million in order to facilitate the transfer and show his commitment to the Turin-based club. This gesture highlighted his willingness to prioritize sporting goals over financial gain.
With Thiago Motta valuing him as a crucial component of Juventus’s attacking line-up, Conceicao’s permanent signing strengthens the squad’s long-term plans. The deal not only reflects Juventus’s belief in the player’s potential but also demonstrates strategic financial planning, enabling the club to manage its budget responsibly while adding a proven performer to its ranks.
