Piala Presiden 2025 Extends Prize Money to Fifth and Sixth Place Teams

The organizers of PialaPresiden 2025 have confirmed that teams finishing fifth and sixth will also receive prize money, addressing earlier concerns about fairness in rewards. This decision came after a light-hearted remark by comedian Muhammad Ronaldo during the tournament's press conference, highlighting that only the top four teams were initially set to receive prizes, despite six teams participating.
Following this, the committee decided to grant the fifth-place team a prize of 200 million rupiah and the sixth-place team 100 million rupiah. This move aims to ensure all teams feel appreciated and motivated, especially as the competition features strong clubs from Indonesia, England, and Thailand.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from July 6 to 13, 2025, offering substantial prizes for the top four teams, with the champion receiving 5.5 billion rupiah and the runner-up earning 3 billion rupiah. The third and fourth places will receive 2 billion and 1 billion rupiah respectively, making the event highly competitive and financially rewarding.
Additionally, the event's funding has been secured through sponsorships totaling 55 billion rupiah, with organizers emphasizing that no government or state-owned enterprise funds are involved. This financial backing demonstrates strong private sector support for the tournament and Indonesian football overall.
