Bali United Welcomes Dutch Goalkeeper Mike Hauptmeijer
Bali United has secured the services of Dutch goalkeeper Mike Hauptmeijer, who joins the club from PEC Zwolle. Standing at 190 cm, Mike was officially introduced as Bali United’s newest player on June 30, 2025, signing a two-year contract with the Indonesian club. This move adds strength to Bali United’s goalkeeping options ahead of the upcoming seasons.

The decision to bring Mike on board came through a recommendation from Bali United’s coach, Johnny Jansen, who previously worked with the goalkeeper at PEC Zwolle. The club’s CEO emphasized that Mike’s skills and potential to perform between the posts were key factors in the recruitment. The administrative process was handled smoothly to ensure a seamless transition despite Mike’s existing contract with PEC Zwolle running until 2027.

Mike Hauptmeijer is no stranger to high-level football, having represented the Netherlands at the U-20 level and progressing through PEC Zwolle’s youth academy. His arrival marks the addition of Bali United’s fifth foreign player, reflecting the club’s ambition to build a competitive and diverse squad for future challenges.

This signing follows Bali United’s recent recruitment of fellow Dutch player Thijmen Goppel, joining a lineup that already features international talents such as Brandon Wilson from Australia, Joao Ferrari from Brazil, and Boris Kopitovic from Montenegro. The club aims to blend experience and skill from across the globe to achieve success in their domestic and regional campaigns.
