Bhayangkara FC Strengthens Squad with Top Cambodian League Star and Experienced Defender Ahead of Liga 1 2025-26

Bhayangkara FC is preparing ambitiously for the upcoming Liga 1 2025-26 season after earning promotion as the runner-up in Liga 2. The club has shifted focus from releasing players to actively strengthening their squad to compete at a higher level. Under the guidance of new coach Paul Munster, the team is determined to build a solid lineup capable of facing the tough competition in Indonesia’s top league.
The club recently announced two key foreign signings. The first is Slavko Damjanovic, a reliable defender who played an important role at Persebaya Surabaya last season and followed coach Munster to Bhayangkara FC. Damjanovic’s experience in Indonesian football is expected to bolster the team’s defensive stability.
The second signing is highly impressive: Spanish winger Andreas Nieto, who arrives from Phnom Penh FC, the reigning Cambodian champions. Nieto was the top scorer in the Cambodian League last season with 21 goals and also earned the Best Player award. His prolific goal-scoring and playmaking abilities make him a valuable asset for Bhayangkara’s attacking options.
With these additions and the return of an experienced coach, Bhayangkara FC is signaling its intent not just to survive in Liga 1 but to compete strongly. Their aggressive preparations and strategic recruitment suggest they could pose a serious challenge to the established top-tier teams in the league.
