Barcelona Secure Bargain Deal for Swedish Wonderkid Roony Bardghji
Barcelona have reached a verbal agreement to sign 19-year-old Swedish winger Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen for just €2 million. The low fee is due to his contract nearing expiration in January 2026, allowing the Spanish club to act strategically in securing his services. Bardghji is expected to sign a long-term deal after completing his medical tests.

The Catalan giants have been monitoring Bardghji for years through their scouting network. Their interest was delayed due to a serious ACL injury that sidelined the young talent, but once his recovery progressed, negotiations quickly resumed. A key meeting between Barcelona’s sporting director Deco and Bardghji’s agent in April 2025 accelerated the process.

Barcelona views Bardghji as a long-term investment to strengthen their wing options. While Nico Williams remains their top target, Bardghji is seen as a high-potential alternative who can be developed into a key player. His youth and versatility make him an ideal addition to the club's evolving squad.

FC Copenhagen will also benefit from a resale clause included in the deal, allowing them to earn from any future transfer. The move is considered a smart piece of business for Barcelona, as they acquire a talented young player for a minimal fee while planning for both present depth and future gains.
