Gian Piero Gasperini has officially been appointed as the new head coach of AS Roma, signing a three-year contract with the Italian capital club. His arrival follows a highly successful spell at Atalanta, where he built a reputation for dynamic tactics and player development, culminating in a Europa League title last season. Roma’s management believes Gasperini is the ideal figure to lead the team into a new chapter.

Claudio Ranieri, who led Roma to a fifth-place finish in the 2024-25 Serie A campaign, stepped down from his role but was present at Gasperini’s unveiling. Before accepting Roma’s offer, Gasperini was also approached by Juventus, but ultimately chose the challenge in Rome.
