Kevin Diks Joins Borussia Mönchengladbach on a Free Transfer
Kevin Diks has officially left FC København and signed with Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free transfer. The move was confirmed by the German club's official website on Sunday, January 27, 2025.
Diks will remain at FC København until the end of the current season, after which he will join Mönchengladbach for the upcoming campaign. His contract with the Bundesliga side runs through to 2030.
Borussia Mönchengladbach's sporting director, Roland Virkus, expressed his excitement about the new signing, noting Diks' extensive experience and versatility, particularly his ability to play across various defensive positions.
The 28-year-old Indonesian international has spent the last four seasons at FC København, having joined the Danish club in 2021. Over this period, he scored 11 goals in 98 appearances across all competitions, including 14 games in the UEFA Champions League during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.
Before his time at København, Diks played for several top European clubs, including Vitesse, Fiorentina, and Feyenoord. His move to Mönchengladbach marks his seventh club in a well-traveled professional career. With his wealth of experience and defensive flexibility, Diks is expected to make a significant impact at Borussia Mönchengladbach in the seasons to come.
